Observe Remote Process

Folks:

* Is it possible to observe (and interact with) the boot process dialog
of a remote machine that is booting up ?

I have two machines on the same network, but different locations. Is there
some technique (Hardware or software)
that I can use to view & interact with the boot process dialog of the remote
machine ?

Thanks,
Jo.

Thanks for the reply. This looks like a hardware solution and I will
definitely be using it.

* Just wondering if any special software (accompanying the KVM hardware)
is required to make this KVM approach work ?

Thanks,
John.

Not actually used on of these before myself.

The point of having one of these would be that they "do not" require any
specific software to be running on the computer. Some will even allow
you to press the reset/power button remotely.

Obviously the box needs setting up and you will need to forward the
appropriate TCP port on your firewall (as one would have to do with a
software solution such as VNC).

Been using Tight/Ultra-VNC for years, never had the need for such a
hard-ware solution.

Kind Regards

Malte
