O2K: custom action -- flag for same day but at a specific point in day?

Currently, when I flag something via the rules wizard, if I want the item to
pop up a prompt on the same day, I must choose "0" days. Unfortunately,
what that does is flag the message for the time it arrives, which isn't
helpful. Yet flagging it for the day after, i.e., "1" day, is again not
helpful. What is needed is to flag a message for the same day but for 16:50
or other specific time.

Is there any way to do this via, say, custom actions or other? I've looked
at what's available via slipstick
(http://www.slipstick.com/addins/custom.asp#top), but found nothing of value
re flagging.

Thanks! :blush:D

custom actions for outlook 2000 are limited and AFAIK, nothing exists to do
this.

Hmmm, okay. How about a workaround of any sort? I don't know much about
O2K in many respects, but maybe thinking outside the box ... is there a way
to right-click a bunch of messages and invoke a macro that _would_ change
the flag reminder time to that current day at, say, 16:30 for all the
selected messages? I know it's a stretch, but won't know till I ask. <g>

Thanks. :blush:D

only if you know VBA programming - you might be able to write something
yourself :)

if outlook 2007 is in your future, the default reminder time for same day
tasks is 1 hr before the end of the day. Next days tasks have a reminder at
the start of the next day.

Ah, too bad. In the govt we're still using 2000, so who knows _when_

If your government agency is anything like mine, you will move once mainstream support has ended. <eg>

Merry Xmas everyone!

<lol> Yes, probably so. We _only_ just started using XP within last
6 months and were on Win 2000 (in 2007 still!!!) <g>

Cheers. :blush:D
