nVidia Doesn't Put Monitor To Sleep

Hello all,

I have a Compaq FS740 Monitor and an nVidia TNT2 M64 Pro Video card.

When I put my computer to sleep mode (stand-by), the monitor does not go
into sleep mode. Instead it goes into "Suspend Mode" - this state consumes
more power than sleep mode and doesn't turn everything in the monitor off.

Sleep mode = orange light
Suspend mode = yellow light
On = green light

When the computer is turned off, then the monitor goes into sleep mode.
When I had Windows ME on this computer the monitor would go to sleep when
the computer was put onto stand-by mode. But now when I have XP, this all
changes.

I do have the latest drivers for my video card and computer.

Is there a way to change this?

Thanks

why dont you just press the power button of your monitor that way you dont
use up any power?

as far as drivers for your video card that has nothing to do with your
monitor going to sleep mode what probably happend is that when you installed
XP on your system it installed diffrent Motherboard drivers than what ME
provided and thats why your experiencing this problem i really doubt that
your video card drivers have anything to do with it
