numbers won't allow me to add a decimal

I used number with allow for 2 decimal and when i add a number like 2.51 it
rounds it to 3. I'm sure it must be a simple thing. Can you please help.

You need to change the field type. You have it set as an integer.
Integers are whole numbers, no decimals. Try singe or double type.
