Hi. Could you tell me how I can number my headings in multi level in sync
like below? I know how to number individual headings but can't find out how
to number the headings together in multi level. Thanks.

1. Heading
1.1. Heading
1.1.1. Heading
1.1.2. Heading

2. Heading
2.1. Heading
2.1.1. Heading

Thanks.
But the instruction is for word 2001 and 2003. I am using 2007 and can't
find what's in the instruction. Can you give me the instruction for 2007?

The quick way to do this is to click the Multilevel List button on the Home
tab, and choose the "1 Heading 1 1.1 Heading 2 1.1.1 Heading 3" format.
Then place the insertion point in the first Heading 1 paragraph of the
document. Click Multilevel List, and then click Define New Multilevel List.
This opens a dialog box simliar to the Customize Outline Numbered List
dialog of Word 97-2003 where you can add the periods for each level as
desired.
