I have had intermittent connection issues ever since I moved to 2007. Ex2003
backend. OS is XP SP2. Both in office (ie direct) and at home (RPC/HTTP)
Got rpcdiag working yesterday (CTRL, right-clikck on the Outlook tray item
and select Connection Status works well)
Findings:
1) 20 or so connections to the mail server. Any idea why so many? Colleagues
have few. Only peculiarities are: a) I have a hotmail account defined as well
as Exchange. b) I have 30-40 Shared Calendars open. And they do keep
synchronised even when you are not looking at them. Is there a way of
disabling that?
2) Sometimes a huge proportion of failed requests in the Req/Fail column
Have asked our server support team to look at this but I am likely to get a
rebuild if I can''t solve this.
