number automatically changes to .0x

I just can't seem to figure this one out. For some reason, whenever I enter a
number in any cell, it changes it to .0x. For example: I enter 7, Excel
changes it to .07
I've tried formatting the cells to 'General,' 'Number' with 0 decimal
places, and 'Text' but it always changes the number on me. This just started
happening today. I started seeing it because the cells do have Data
Validation on them that only allows the whole numbers of 1-2-3-4. Any
thoughts?

thanks Chip that worked. I don't know how that would have ever changed
though. oh well, fixed now. Thanks again.
