XP froze up in constant loop. Warranty techs walked me
through restore, destructive revory, destructive recovery
with repair. Also deleted partitions, used chkdsk and all
they could think of. All of which has failed. I still get
the same message: Windows could not start because the
following file is missing or corrupt: <windows root>\
system32\ntoskrnl.exe Please reinstall a copy of the
above. What do I do to fix this ?

If you have installed onto a large partition, ie. larger than ~ 7.8GB the
OS loader may not be able to access the file in question. What is the size
of your boot partition ? Also, if you have access to some low level disk
tools on another machine you could verify that the file in question IS in
fact on the disk and IS NOT corrupted by doing a comparison.
