NTLDR missing

hello I got this error today on start up NTLDR missing and
I was like what, the only thing that I changed from a
while ago it I unpluged the power cable from my slave
drive because I did needed it, then I pluged it back in
and the problem is gone, why would the slave drive with no
data effect the master

Hi, John.

You've told us practically nothing about your computer (make and model of
computer, number of HDs, make and model HDs, how they are partitioned,
etc.), so all we can do is guess. :>(

My first guess is that your HDs are jumpered as Master-with-slave and Slave.
When the slave drive is disabled, the BIOS gets confused as to which HD is
the boot device. Check the documentation for your HDs. You might need to
change the jumper to Master-with-no-slave, or some such setting. You may
also have to change something in CMOS when you remove the slave drive.

There are other possible explanations, but without knowing more about your
setup, all we can do is guess.
