into Windows at all. If I start up without an XP disk, I
get the same error as when I try to boot from the disk.
So basically there is no way that I know of to get into
any of the folders. Can I install the CDROM or hard drive
controllers anyway? I'm really stuck here...
.
Since no one else is responding... I'll do my best to
help. If you can run the Win XP installation CD, you can
probably access the i386 folder during the CD
installation process. if it can't find the file, it may
prompt you (or show you another button) which allows you
to specify where the file is.
Depending on what the problem is, it might be that
Windows cant even recognize your hard drive, therefore
can't find the NTLDR file it need to load windows, or the
file is corrupt. In any event, it IS on the CD in the
i386 folder. Try to do a custom install, meaning follow
the promts slowly that allow you for advanced options.
I'm sorry but I can't remember the exact process but
there IS a way.

i will try to reach you on your IM if you want)
