NTLDR is missing

I'm getting an error-message saying "NTLDR is missing. Press CNTL+ALT
+DEL". When I do that, the error-mesage returns.

A new PC is being built for me but how can I copy the files from the
problem PC to the new PC?

Copying the files is extremely easy with a USB2 drive case or adapter.
Simply attach the old drive to the case or adapter, plug that into the new
system, copy the files. Cases and adapters start around $20, you just need
to know whether you need IDE or SATA.

The ntldr question is quite different and is often simple to fix.

Note that for using the Recovery Console from the XP Install CD - you can
use *any* bootable XP CD for this, Home or Pro. If you don't have one,
you can borrow one and it will work for this purpose.
