NTLDR is missing

Received an error message this morning on a computer that says NTLDR is
missing. Please press CTRL + ALT + DEL to restart. Just put a new HDD in
the computer about 2 weeks ago and loaded a fresh copy of Windows XP Home on
it. Any suggestions?

One cause of this is having a floppy disk in the floppy drive.

Make sure the bios is looking at the correct HD first. If for some
reason the computer is trying to boot from the wrong HD (or any other
incorrect drive, including a floppy as John said) first it will not be
able to find the NT LoaDeR (a boot loader) file that tells the OS what
else to do.

My son's friend's mom's ex-boyfriend swapped the IDE cable on the master
and slave drives and it exhibited that exact message. Ha Ha, funny.
