Ntfsm.exe has generated errors

I had a problem with a PC and ran a repair. Now, when I start up, as soon
as a user logs in, I get a message, "Ntfsm.exe has generated errors and will
be closed by windows. You will need to restart the program. An error log
is being created."

I don't see anything specific in the error log and I can't find any
reference to ntfsm.exe anywhere.

Any ideas?

ntfsm.exe does not appear to be part of a standard Win2000
installation - it must have come with something else. I would
do this:
- Locate it on the disk and rename it to something else.
- Run msconfig.exe (http://www.svrops.com/svrops/dwnldoth.htm)
and disable ntfsm.exe at startup.
