NTFS to RAW

I would appreciate if someone can help me.
One of company computers would give hard error on window 2K startup and
freeze.
I took out the hard disk and put it as a slave to my XP computer. No
virus was found so I scaned for disk error. During the phase 4 with
progress bar about at the middle, it said the disk scan cannot complete
and the disk became invisible. When I restarted the computer, the disk
was visible but inaccessible and unformated(RAW). It was originally
NTFT.
Can someone tell me how I can recover the file format without losing
the data?
Thank you,

Jonathan Kim

Jonathan,

To me, it sounds like the drive is hosed. That CHKDSK wouldn't run to
completion and afterwards the drive loses its format indicates either a
serious hardware issue. I think your best bet to recover the data on the
drive is to contact one of the data recovery companies.

In Greg Hayes/Raxco Software had this to say:
Want to email me? Delete ntloader.

Wrong... Just plain wrong... Absolutely hysterical and probably the best
"delete to email" message I've ever seen but wow. I'm not sure if you've
been using this all along but, well, I just noticed now. Fantastic... Well,
after a fashion. ;)
