NTFS file system and my HDD

I keep getting an error stating that under the NTFS file
system, that my drive is capable, but disabled. We've
tried just about everything, but we cannot get the drive
to successfully boot up. Any sugestions?

Posting the exact text of the error message, the events that lead up to
this, partition info, etc. may help. Also telling us what 'tried just about
everything' entails may help.
