I have heard about NTFS encryption, but I can not encypt any file or folder.
This is so frustrating! How can I encrypt files and folders???

You need to use the NTFS file system. You need Windows XP Professional.

I would highly recommend you stay away from encryption. What State
Secrets are you protecting on your home computer, anyway? There are
better and easier ways to hide porn.

You need Windows XP Pro and NTFS file system.

Before using EFS, be sure you are very familiar with it to help prevent
permanent loss of data.
If there are problems it defaults to secure and there is no back door.
See the links at the bottom of this page to help prevent your data going to
the "Delayed Recycle Bin":

Encryption is NOT recommended. Keep your pc and files as simple as
possible.
