NTBackup - run minimised?

I use NTBackup extensively for scheduled backups. When it starts up, it pops
up a window on the screen, which is a bit intrusive for users. It's
obviously simple enough for the user to minimise the window, but ....

Is there a simple way of getting it automatically to run minimised when
doing these backups?

Not sure, but why not schedule it to run after hours when the users aren't
logged in?

You can click on Start - Run - Cmd and then in the Command Prompt window -
type ntbackup /? to see the parameters. I don't see this as an option
though.

We run a peer to peer network, and the PCs are switched off at night. :)

No, neither do I. But I did spend quite an interesting few minutes reading
the hlp file, then the related topics, then .....

Oh well. This is not the most important issue for us. So, thanks to you and
Lanwench.

They don't have to be, though, do they?

If you want to spare the user, then you can launch the backup from a script
(Autoit is a easy scripting language) and let the script minimize the
window automatically.

Only thing I can suggest is to make a scheduled task refer to a shortcut
to it and set the shortcut properties to 'run minimised'
