ntbackup no longer starts.

I have XP Pro and a SCSI 20 GB Travan tapedrive. At one time, the ntbackup
would start but it no longer does. No error is displayed. I get an hourglass
cursor for a minute and then it switches to an arrow cursor. I've tried
reinstalling by downloading ntbackup.msi and still no luck.

I have problems too. It seems to be related to the account. On my system
ntbackup runs fine as Administrator. Try this. As restricted user
ntbackup starts but hangs. If you look in the taskmanager you can still
see it but doing nothing.
 
I have exactly the same problem in home edition. I can see that userprofiles
can bee a problem, and I have deleted a profile resently, so maybe it is here
there is something wrong
