NT on access scanner

hi, recently, whenever i start up my computer (seanix
pentium 4 - windows xp) i get an error message after about
5 minutes of inactivity stating 'NT on access scanner is
unable to &.c' . follownig this, everything run normally,
but its irritating having a 5-10 minute wait everytime i
start up. can someone tell me how to correct this? I
don't even know what the NT on access scanner is!

This is an error coming from McAfee software. Contact their tech
support.
