NT On-Access Scanner Service error

About half the time, when I power up XP Pro, it takes an
extra five minutes, then a box saying "NT On-Access
Scanner Service has encountered a problem and needs to
close." Windows then opens and runs normally. Has anyone
any ideas on what it is?

NT On-Access Scanner Service is part of McAfee's products. please contact
them for support.
