NT On -Access Scanner Service

When I start my computer, it hangs for a minute and then I get an error report screen that says " NT On -Access Scanner Service has encountered a probelm and needs to close. Any suggestions

Remove and reinstall, or repair, your McAfee Antivirus
application.
