Frustrated
I'm not sure what this is, but I have received 2 errors
this evening, which also shuts down my internet
session........I was away from my computer both times, so
I'm not sure exactly what is going on other than being
requested to send an error report. The first time it
happened today, I was also notified that new xp updates
were ready to install.......so I installed them and re-
started my computer.......and then I couldn't get back
on, not past my 'loading personal settings' screen,
tried 'alt/cntl/delete', nothing happened......luckily,
after turing the computer off 4 or 5 times, it finally
logged me on completely, and I am able to get to the
internet.
So, my question is: What is the NT On-Access Scanner
service? Is this the service that causes the 'My Way'
pop-ups I hate so much? If this is so, how do I disable
it?
I guess it probably had nothing to do with when my
computer hung up on the welcome screen.......or does it?
