NT Backup Error : Error reported: Write protected media

I Back up a win2000 server to a file through network on a shared folder on
another win2000 server and I got this error message :
The device reported an error on a request to write data to media.
Error reported: Write protected media.

A letter is mapped and NT Backup is launched by a VBScript.
Bckup is ok with C:, and stopped with the error when starting to back up D:
The drive D have MS SQLServer 2000 installed. All the SQLServer services are
stopped before backup.
Here is the name of the file created : "SERVER_Date of the day.bkf" and is
not write protected.

An idea why I can get this message ?

You might try UNC paths instead of mapped drives.
