NT 4.0 Server login problems to Active Directory

We are having problems trying to login our NT 4.0 server to active
directory services. It was working for the longest time until just
recently. I don't know if recent patches to the 2000 domain
controllers may have caused this. Anyways, the error is that it says
something like cannot login to domain because primary computer account
is missing and/or the password is missing or incorrect. WE have tried
the following.

1. Unjoin and rejoin the domain.
2. DNS and WINS on NT 4.0 Server are pointing to the Child DC
controller.

For more information. The server is trying to rejoin a child domain
of our parent domain. Example: parent domain is "A" and child domain
is "B". Our server can join A and login with no problems. When we
switch over to join to child domain B, It joins, but cannot login. We
get this error about primary computer account is missing.

Our NT 4.0 Server is sitting at a remote site A and the child domain
is on site B connected by a T1. All routes and protocols are checked
ok. Also, parent domain "A" has the PDC emulator for mix-mode
environments. I am not sure about the child domain "B". But as
stated earlier, the NT 4.0 server did login to the child domain "B"
for the longest time until recently.

Thanks,

Tommy

Tommy is this particular NT 4.0 Server a member server? or is it an Domain
Controller in a mixed mode domain?
