HI

Can anyone help...Our Pc keeps re-starting on it's own,
this only happens when connected to the net.

Any ideas

Jules

Hi Jules,

Control Panel/System/advanced tab/startup and recovery settings, uncheck the
line to automatically restart on system failure. Next time it happens,
instead of rebooting, you should get an error message. Please post back with
this message.

sounds like the w32.blaster worm. Got to microsoft.com and download the fix
for the blaster. Also, make sure your virus definitions are current. That
should take care of it.

Dan

Dan, I was under the impression that the Blaster worm caused the computer to
give a warning, and then start a 60-second countdown to shutdown. How does
what the OP describes in any way resemble the Blaster worm? Please let us
know. We would be fascinated to hear your explanation.
