Hi There...whenever I open Word I receive the following error:

Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.

Process id=0xcb4(3252) Thread id=0xdb4(3508)

I am currently running Win XP pro and Office XP SP2. Does anybody have any
suggestions on what might be causing this problem.

If you hold down the CTRL key when starting Word do you still see the
problem?

This sounds to me like a .NET Framework error, which would mean Word is
trying - unsuccessfully - to load a COM addin created using .NET.
