notification area

on notification area , how can I reduce the size of it as it wont resize
with mouse

it shows time and day of the week , how can I just show time

Hi,

Right click the taskbar, you will probably see that "lock the taskbar" is
checked. Click on it to uncheck it, you should then be able to resize the
notification area by placing the cursor at the edge and getting a double
arrow. Then just left click, hold, and drag. You can relock the taskbar
afterwards should you choose to.
