Nothing is working...i downloaded a file manager and then deleted it and it
then messed up my laptop!!!! I can't go to system restore, safe mode won't
help, most files need to be opened with something like IE 7 and most of the
time when i think it is going to work, it doesn't....i found i loophole to
get ie7 to work. Please help me quickly!!!! I am having a meltdown and i
don't want to clean out my computer!

There was an unexpecte error: Parameter is incorrect. (0x80070057) Please
close System Restore and try again. That is what happens!!!!

Internet Download Manager 5.11 build 6 from CNET.com so i thought it would be
safe from a good site.

the command prompt, i just tried, brings you to the error just faster...so i
am just frustrated! Please help me fast!

Hi eric1018
Go to control panel then to system click it look in the upper left to system
protcetion
click it and make sure there is a check mark in the box by {C:\} {System}
This may not fix your problem but it will fix system restore !
If you have a check there allready you have real problems so i can not help !

I had this error about a month ago and it fixed system restore but there was
no restore points to go back to !
Good Luck

i hope this works, thanks!!! Also, i hope this fixes the problem of losing a
bunch of my icons...

problem still exists...i guess i can only clean install...thanks anyways...:(
