Notes Pages - No Slide Image

M

Marnee

When I try to print notes pages, some slides (those w/out notes) do not
print. A page w/not text but with a box outline @ the top does print. I
tried adding notes, but that did not correct the problem. This happens in
2003 and 2007. Any ideas?

View>Master>Notes Master. Right click on it and check Slide Image. That'll
put the image back on the slide.

Someone might have used VBA to remove both the notes and the image from the
notes.

Sorry, I think I forgot to add when you right click, select Notes Master
Layout.

I verified that Slide Image is selected. When I view the file in normal view
- all slides display. When I view/print Note Pages, 2 of 10 slides display
(4 & 7).

Try this in 2003. The ame thing should work in 2007; you'll just have to work
out where MS has gone and hidden the commands ;-)

View, Master, Notes Master
Click to select the Slide placeholder.
Delete it.

Now choose Format, NotesMaster Layout
Put a check next to Slide Image and OK

That will add the slide image back to the master.

Choose View, Normal

Now try printing one of the problem notes pages.

If that doesn't help, next do View, Notes Page

Repeat the same trick as above, deleting then replacing the slide image.
Also put a check next to "Reapply master" when you add the slide image back.

Try printing the notes page again.

If that does the job, you'll need to do the same thing to each problem page.

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, the only way I could correc the
problem was to save the file w/a different name and copy and paste the
slides.

I had the same problem and the previous suggestions didn't work for me
either. I did exactly what you suggested Marnee and just opened another copy
of the same file. In the copy I went to the normal view, highlighted the
slide image in the side bar, copied and pasted it back into the original copy
(while it was in note page view). It put an image of the slide in the middle
of the note page and I had to move it around a little to get it into position
properly.

Hi Guys, this has been driving me crazy for the last year
I have a 58 slide show with different multimages on each slide. the show is viewable and printable at the slide show and handouts level but doesn't show the images at the notes level view. I've fussed with the master views. I can cut and repaste, but hope there is a better solution.

When you go to "View / Notes page" you see the slide above your notes, but
not the images on the slide - is that correct? That may be an issue with the
printer driver or the video hardware. Updating both could be the solution.
But before going too deep into the system I would try some more easy things:
- If your local printer is not the default one, please try and make him
default.
- Give the views "Color/Grayscale" a chance - does any of "View /
Color/Grayscale" make a different?
- Is there a border round the slide in the note view? If not go to "View /
Master / Notes Master", highlight the slide and choose "Format /
Placeholder". The line should have some color.
