Note pad

My note pad will not open. I have the icon whne I clik on
it nothing happens.
 
Go to Start/ Run/ type notepad, click ok, notepad should
open, simple fix,

search for notepad

when you find it create a new shortcut to add it into the
accessories menu

Right click the icon and select Properties.
On the Shortcut tab that appears click the Find Target button.
XP should find notepad.exe - located \WINDOWS\notepad.exe?
Next click Apply>OK and the shortcut should be fixed.
