Hi:

I'm not sure if I'm in the right area, but I'm having problems that I can't
deftermine why they are happening?

Quite often in Hotmail that I receive I find weird characters, such as:
"Don’t miss out...", where the word don't for example has these weird
characters. Can anyone explain why this happens, and how I can correct this.

Thanks,

I don't usually use my web browser to access these groups, but...

Traditionally, "Hotmail" questions have been asked in this group:

http://www.microsoft.com/communitie...fault.aspx?dg=microsoft.public.msn.discussion

I will cross post this to that group (welcome to the MSFT "Looking Glass").

If you are accessing Hotmail via the web, you should check your "Encoding"
options ("View | Encoding" from the menu). You may need to check the message
source to find the declared character set in the message.

Norman:

I sincerely appreciate your help, consideration and insight.

Thanks again, Patrick
