Not sure it's installed

When I found out (by e-mail from Microsoft)that a new
download was available for my Windows Antispyware(Beta),
I downloaded it, but then made the mistake of clicking
SAVE instead of RUN. After the SAVE process ended, I
clicked RUN but nothing seemed to happen. (I wanted what
was saved to my hard disk to actually be installed, if
I've got it right.) When I clicked "About..." it showed
my version as 1.0.509, which expires on July 31, & my
Spyware Definition Version as 5727. I was reading that
the download is supposed to, among other things, extend
the July 31 expiration date.
How do I get the "software update" I "saved" to "run" or
actually be installed, & how can I check to see that I've
done it correctly?

I'm not sure what it was that you downloaded, or what location you saved it
to.

You might look for a file named:

MicrosoftAntiSpyewareInstall.exe

If you find that, and double-click on it--you should see a very clear
update/install set of dialog boxes and windows.

If you can't find it, I'd go and get it via:
http://www.microsoft.com/spyware/software. It is a couple of links below
this, but they are very clear and easy to find, I believe.
