microsoft antispyware

i currently have the antispyware..beta 1 that expires in
july i want to download the antispyware that expires in
dec..do i have to uninstall the old one to download or
will it override..the old one..i have windows xp service
pack2..i like the antispyware..its compatible with my
system and runs nicely..i hope i can just download the
newer version..of it...please tell me if i have to
uninstall the old one first and if i can just go and
download the newer one..im not sure what this
administrator priveledges mean..i was hoping i would have
received a update notice to install newer version but
havent yet..it expires in 12 days..please help...

Just download and install the new version. It looks after everything
itself: there is no need to uninstall the earlier version first.

That approach didn't work for me. At some point MSAS

reverted to build 1.0.614. So i uninstalled my old
version (deleting all MSAS files)and installed the new
one. So far, so good.
By the way, what is the meaning of MVP in your title and
also thanks for your many helpful fixes.

That approach didn't work for me. At some point MSAS
reverted to build 1.0.614.

Empty your Temporary Internet Files, and try the download again. Run the
newly-downloaded installer to install Build 615.

By the way, what is the meaning of MVP in your title

ok..thank you but i keep hearing about deleting internet
files should i do that first before i download..the newer
version..and why didnt my update..work should'nt it have
updadted it self...?..please tell me i i have to delete
anything or do anything..like that..im not pc savy..so i
just want to download..something and have it
work..lol...is there a chance it may update itself before
12 days is up...or should i just go and download
now..today..thank you..and sorry for all the question..
