not starting xp

i formatted the disk because it kept giving problems and re-installed home
xp; while rebooting keeps telling me "missing or corrupt
system32\drivers\ntfs.sys". I tried using the recovery console as directed,
but i didnt want to mess around because aint got too much experience. I will
be thankful for any help.
