When I go to http://snopes.com/ and click on what's new, it kills IE. I go
to the task manager and it says Snopes.com not responding. End task, bring
up IE and its fine until I do a repeat of the above. I can click anyplace
else on Snopes and it works ok?????????? Virus (AVG 6.0)and Spy ware
(Ad-Ware and Spy Bot) checks ok. Security is set to Medium. Deleted ALL the
cookies and still NG. MS patch level is current.

System hangs when trying to delete the offline tmp internet files thru
Tools/ Options. I just manually deleted all the tmp files by Search *.tmp.

System still hangs when trying to delete the offline tmp internet files thru
Tools/ Options. It only seems to effect trying to delete the offline tmp
internet files thru Tools/ Options.

About a week ago I lost all of my contacts catagorized as "Personal" so I
believe I got Zapped.

Can you think of anything besides reinstalling MS IE? Any thing to look out
for?

When I did that I got two popup windows. Do you have a popup stopper
active? Perhaps it is corrupting the datastream and causing the problem.
Try disabling the popup stopper. Then if you don't want popups you can
try avoiding them by disallowing Scripting. E.g. set Active Scripting to
Prompt in Security settings and then click No when you think a popup
window might be coming.

Good luck
