Not responding error messages constantly

Is XP buggy or what.

Every day I have programs not responding and shutting
down. including Outlook 2000, Chessmaster 7000, and many
others. I have uploaded all known patches for all
programs.

Question: Is it XP or is it my configuration?

Can you, please provide any error messages? Those can help to isolate your problem.
