Not receiving my BBC emails

R

When I list my name as a BBC, I do not receive my emails. I have used this
in the past and it worked.

It's when I send an email and put my name in the BCC field. I expect to
receive a copy in my inbox, but never receive one. I just tested this and
found that I do not receive my emails with my name in the TO: or CC: field
also, but they are in my sent file.

As you get a copy in your Sent Items folder, why would you BCC yourself in
the first place?

Is it likely that the emails are going into Bulk or Spam folder? Some
ISPs categorize all BCC addresses as SPAM.. Have you checked all your
folders just in case they are getting in there?

BBC's <http://www.bbc.co.uk/> spam filter is very robust in such cases!
I used to work for them at one time.

To make sure the ISP is working and delivering messages as expected. If
you have a copy in the sent folder does not prove anything about ISPs
efficiency.

Do you have POP3 or IMAP?

If you want to test the ISP, send to a gmail or similar acct - many filters
will block mail to/from the same person as spam.

I did an advanced find and the email I sent myself is not anywhere except the
sent folder.

I do not know what POP3 or IMAP is. What is a gmail?

I still don't understand WHY you are BCC'ing yourself in the first place -
as you say - there's a copy of the email already in your Sent Items...

I know it may sound redundant to you, but I work in a very technical
environment and need to keep copies of some replies, but not all. I cannot
and do not want to keep all of my sent items.

Anyway, I figured this out so no need for more assistance. Thank you all.
