Not loading

People,

Please could anyone help. This may only partially be due
to IE. I cannot load certain Java apps (i.e.
www.runescape.com), when checking for the current windows
update software it immediately says there is a problem
and I (and the other users on this machine) cannot use
our passport accounts in either MSN Messenger or on the
Hotmail main login page....

Any ideas,

Understand that because of a court decision Microsoft will stop all Java
support after 30 SEP 04.

When you click the 'play game' on runescape.com you will see a screen
with a wizard and a kinght (where you noormally select if you want to
play the free game or the members game).

Beneath the wizard+knight characters there is a scroll. Click on the
drop-dwn selection box on this scroll, and choose "Signed applet using
SUN Java". Then try continuing through to play the game like normal.
This gets it working for the vast majority of XP users.
