not enough memory

when i try to insert slides from files and i use the
browse button to locate the slides, i am getting a
message that says an unexpected error occurred: noto
enough memory available to complete the operation. close
other programs to make more memory available and then try
again. when i click ok sometimes i can proceed to find
the files and sometimes the message keeps popping up. i
am using only 155 mb of my 512 mb physical memory. does
anyone have a suggestion to correct the problem? thanks
