Not asking to save some passwords

Hello,

I am using XP Home SP2, so it has IE 6.

Can anyone tell me why when I am on some sites my browser
will not store my password even though it will store a password
for other sites?

Are there some settings I can change or a password list I can fix so that a
password can be stored for a site? I honestly don't recall clicking "no"
for any site when IE asks whether I want to store a password.

For security reasons, some sites will not allow Autocomplete of
usernames/passwords, Bob.
