passwords

Hello,

I am using XP Home SP2, so it has IE 6.

Can anyone tell me why when I am on some sites my browser
will not store my password even though it will store a password
for other sites?

Are there some settings I can change or a password list I can fix so that a
password can be stored for a site? I honestly don't recall clicking "no"
for any site when IE asks whether I want to store a password.

I only added the other post because I thought this one would not be seen
given that it is a reply to one so old.

I think for IE to invoke its "auto completion" feature, it needs to
recognise the field to be a password field. For your mentioned web
sites, they are using a different name for their password field. To
work around this, you need an external tool (like a password manager)
to help you to remember your passwords.

Hope this helps.
