Not able to shutdown windows

Hi

What happens if you disable/uninstall NS 2005? Does your system shutdown
properly?
 
unplug it and let it sit for 2 minutes

I have the same problem. the computer hangs on "saving your settings" on
shutdown.If I remove norton the system does a normal shutdown.
