Hello, can any one help me to resolve this matter. When i
run Norton Windoctor it detects a problem with medium
severity.. it is that there is a missing windows file,,
called C:\Program Files\Common Files\Roxio Shared\DLL
Shared... it is related to
Software\Microsoft\windows\current version\shared DLLs..
I dont understand any of this but i click on repair and
it says fixed but when i rescan the problem is still
there,, how do i fix this or do i even need to, i dont
even have roxio on my computer.... thank you

Never let Norton Windoctor do it's own thing !
After a Windoctor sweep, when you get the "Click Next to see results,"
don't click the top left "Repair All" button or whatever it's called, click
the one to the right of it. At the next screen click the "Allow me to
choose solutions for each item..." or whatever it's called. for each of
the "grouped" problems.

If the proposed option is to "Delete this registry key," that's the one I
go for, also checking the box, "Use this type of repair for all other
problems in this group," or whatever it's called." Where the proposed
repair is to "point" at a file elsewhere, I'd definately not choose that
but, I dual boot so Norton is always wanting XP to point at files on W98se's
drive, and vice versa !

The ActiveX problems that Windoctor repeatedly finds are mostly lies!

regards, Richard
