Norton Internet Security Problem

Guest

A friend of mine recently installed Norton Internet Security 2006 and since
doing so cannot access the internet. When trying to connect to any site on
the web the screen stays white and the loadbar only ever moves up to about 3
or 4 bars.

Disabling the firewall function does not resolve this but disabling the
whole NIS suite does. Does anyone have any suggestions how to resolve this
problem?

Many thanks

Hi
Yeah Norton can be a pain. How are you connecting to the Internet? If
you are doing it thru a home/small office network then you will have to
tell the firewall about the network addresses. In the firewall settings
there is a wizard for this. Also the antivrus 2006 package also behaves
partly like a firewall, so check the settings and security levels.
Hope this helps.

Have them go in the Personal Firewall configuration, remove all of the
existing rules and do a program scan to create new rules.
