I have Norton Internet Security installed with Windows ME.
When I upgraded ME to XP Home edition, Norton stopped
working.

Symantic suggested uninstalling Norton Internet Security;
however, when tried using Control Panel uninstall (the
recommended method), you get a setup error.

You can uninstall XP, go back to ME and then you can make
everything work.

How can XP be install compatibaly with Norton?

do you have an old version of NIS? You need 2003 or 2004, I think to work
with XP

There is an uninstall tool on the Symantec website. If that fails; simply
install over the existing installation. This scenario is exactly why it is
never a good idea to do an "upgrade" over an older OS vice a clean install.

I'm using the Norton Internet Security 2004.
