Norton Internet Security 2005 wont run in safe mode???

So can someone tell me how am I supposed to scan and remove suspected
viruses in safe mode, when I get a "symantec integrator" error while
attempting to load any of the features of this program.

Winxp pro, service pack1
768 ram, 2.0ghz Dell.
Any thoughts?

AFAIK when in Safe Mode the services needed for the Symantec engine
are not started so you cannot use NAV.

You might want to try services.msc and enabling the services manually
and see what happens.
