Norton Go-Back or WinXp System Restore

I

II

Since WinXp came with "system restore" preinstalled,
is it necessary to install "norton goback" ?

I understand that both utilities perform same functions.

Did you post this a week ago?

GoBack reverts the system completly and is excellent although it slows the
comp down -- i highly recommend it

System Restore will only change system settings back, and is less effective
and more error prone. Dont get me wrong, it is a great utility and i highly
commend MS for it, but they had to leave ground for developers to add to
Windows or the EU would check another antitrust hissy fit lol

go to its site and have look around
http://www.symantec.com/goback/

it does have a very annoying update feature though -- as you lose all your
backups when you update it (and it takes hours to delete and create its new
files!)

I hope that helps

Yes, "II" did ask the same question a week ago. See

Guess he wants a different answer this week.
