Norton Does not Update definitions

It says definitions are out of date and they are but when I do live update I get a list of 13 or so files but none download. Error message like "aborted but no text". Worked originally. Norton has been no help.

buy a legal copy, that will download the definitions.......................... ;-

Or buy another subscription. They only last 1 year. Even if you don't
want to keep buying their upgrade versions every year, you're still
stuck with buying their virus subscription every year. That's the sales
scheme employed by most anti-virus software.

I had the same problem and it was a VIRUS. The darn utility ran a virus check before installation and said everything was clear, but NOT. A friend told me that different companies scan for different viruses and that Norton didn't even scan for all the viruses that could affect their own software

Go to trendmicro.com and use their FREE scan device. My Live Update and the entire utility has worked perfectly since
