Norton Disk Doctor Starts Automatically When I Say No

In Norton Disk Doctor, I have unchecked the Options box for "Start
automatically with Windows," and I have also unchecked all drives in
the list next to it. Yet NDD insists on checking drive C when I boot.
It was not doing this until this past week, when I did briefly turn on
the "start automatically" option for drive C. How can I get this eager
puppy to stay down?

This group is for performance and maintenance issues with the Windows XP
operating system, not third-party applications installed thereunder. If
you're having issues with a Symantec application, suggest you contact their
technical support.
