Norton Clean Sweep

Per Norton clean sweep does not remove all the internet
history files because my index.dat file could be corrupt.
They indicate that I need to delete my index.dat files
however, because I'm using xp operating system I need to
contact microsoft for instructions. Any truth to this and
if so how.

I've never done this but I read that to delete this file
you need to create another user account with admin rights
and log on to that account. Then work your way to your
primary acc. and delete the folder. This way it wont be in
use and can be deleted. I don't think its worth the
trouble.
